Black, Gifted & Whole began as an award ceremony centered around celebrating and affirming Black gay men from all walks of life. We honored 8 Black gay men and unveiled our first-ever HBCU scholarship recipient, Jauan Durbin, to the media and to attendees. After taking a year off to focus on promoting and implementing our programmatic endeavors, we are now ready to host our 2nd Annual Scholarship Gala. This year, our theme is “Won’t You Celebrate With Me” and we intend to infuse as much Blackness and Queerness into this year’s gala as possible. Especially in today’s political climate, it is our duty to continue to celebrate our own, to uplift our own, and to recognize our own.

We want attendees to come out in their best formal wear, but keep it funky in sneakers.
